Panoramic Project

For this assignment we took 3 pictures and combined them together to make it look like one long picture. We used gimp for this project. In order to put the pictures together you need to take 10 percent of the other picture and overlap the two, and then you do the same with the third picture. I used the blending tool to blend the pictures together but I also used the eraser.

Photo Assignment 2: Nature

This week I choose to take nature pictures. It was perfect because it was a nice day out, and because summer is starting to show. These photo's were taken in my yard.

ISO: 100
Fstop: 4.3
Shutter Speed: 1/249

Gimp Car

In this assignment we were given a picture and told to make it look professional, so we used gimp to edit the picture and make it look nice.

In this assignment I learned how to use gimp in so many new ways. I learned how to make the background black, use different types of levels and to use the clone tool. This assignment really helped me learn how to edit, and how to do it in a more professional way.

Food Photo Assignment

In this assignment I tried to take some good photo's of food, by changing the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. I took some different photo's of food that were around the house, and while my mom was making food. Out of all the different food shots i took i chose the one with the vegetables because I really liked how all the different colors looked together.

ISO: 400
Shutter Speed: 1/5
Aperture: F/5.2

What I learned: I learned that you can take some photo's of food that really make your mouth water. I learned that using food, which is in your house is a really good way of learning how to take good photo's and become a good photographer.

Composition

Assignment Description:
In this assignment we learned about the 11 elements of composition. We took pictures of what we thought each element meant. Here are a few of the ones I took.

Space - Window
The Rule of 3rds - Hair Clip
Balance - Half Wall/ Half Hallway
Color - Flower
Lines - Stairs
Depth of Field - Flag Pole
Pattern - Wall (blocks)
Perspective - School
Framing - Window
Symmetry - Long Hallway
Texture - Wall

What I learn:
I learned a lot in this project. I did not know about any of these elements. I didn't know that the depth of field that you select when taking an image will drastically impact the composition of an image.
